Excellent companion to the Body-4-Life and similar workout routines !!

If you're doing the Body-4-Life routine, then you will find this cook book a major help !! That being said, not all of the meals reflect the Body-4-Life suggested eating requirements .. for example, the precise ratios of carb, protean, vegis and low fat - per meal - are not perfectly upheld by the listed recipes. That being said, if you're not too strict about that, then this is excellent, since it offers lots of meals and you don't have to struggle finding recipes for a work-out oriented lifestyle.

If you are looking to eat healthy this book will help

If you are looking to do Body for Life this book will come in handy to stick to the eating porgram. If you are looking to have some healthier recipes this book has a few good ones. I recommend reading this book to help kick start a diet and change the way you think about eating. I really like this book but some of the 'recipes' are ridiculous. Cutting up an apple and eating it with a piece of string cheese is not a recipe. Also I am not a fan of the idea that artificial is healthier than real food. You make the call for yourself as far as that goes for you though. Just keep in mind that sometimes no fat products make up for the flavor by using more sugar. Peosonally a little extra fat is better than extra sugar. Okay off my soapbox now :-)

Great way to change to healthy eating and weight loss

Recipes are good and tasty. After a month there's only one or two I didn't like that much. You have to hunt for items at grocery store if you are not familiar with low fat low sugar products. Butter buds are found in seasoning section with grinders of spices. Book was written some time ago, so some products have changed slightly. You just make changes from recipe. I can't eat green and red peppers, so always substitute onion. Have lost about 7 pounds in a month, and not really serious about the weight-lifting exercise part yet. Have learned that any part of the exercises really help the weight loss.
