Great conclusion to the series

Rock My Body is the fourth and final book in the Black Falcon series by Michelle A. Valentine. It was a bittersweet feeling opening this book and knowing that it would be my last time with these characters. Of all the boys in the band I felt like Tyke was the most mysterious, so naturally I was looking forward to diving into Rock My Body. Once I started reading Tyke immediately stole my heart and never let go. His story was a bit different than I might have expected, but I thought it was a great conclusion to a series that I have thoroughly enjoyed.

At the start of the story Tyke is anger and bitter over what he perceives to be his bandmates' lack of commitment to Black Falcon. Now that they are all in relationships and have families, he no longer feels a connection with them. Tyke is over being the only one working hard for the good of the band. After struggling with a substance abuse problem, he is finally faced with an ultimatum from his bandmates: get help for his addiction or he is out of the band. For Tyke it is not even a question, and he checks into a treatment facility.

Francine is no stranger to pain and addiction, having struggled with personal demons following a family tragedy. After overcoming her own addiction, she is committed to helping others as an addiction counselor. Prepared to do some real good, she is knocked for a loop when Tyke walks through the door as one of her new clients. This tattoo bad boy is just the type of man she used to gravitate toward in her old life. The immediate connection between the pair is undeniable, but a relationship would be impossible. Can they fight their feelings for one another or will they give into temptation?

I thought the counselor and client storyline in Rock My Body was unique and exciting. The forbidden aspect definitely added to my enjoyment of the story, especially considering how smoking hot the chemistry was between Tyke and Frannie. We saw a softer side of Tyke in this book and I really loved it. His feelings for Frannie were so endearing, and I liked how he was willing to go all in when it came to her. I certainly felt for Frannie and the difficulty of the situation. Both her career and heart were on the line. After experiencing such a profound loss, she was understandably very hesitant to open herself up to Tyke.

As much as I adored Tyke and Frannie as a couple, my favorite part of the book was actually watching the understanding that developed between Tyke and his bandmates. It went both ways, and it really made me happy to see how they bonded. Since it is obviously an important part of the series, the incorporation of music into this story was perfect. I enjoyed listening to each chapter's songs as I was reading. The epilogue was simply the icing on the cake. This series has taken me on wonderfully fun-filled and sexy ride, and Valentine definitely ended it on high note with Rock My Body.

A fitting farewell
By mjlovestoread
Having read the entire series, I was both sad that it was coming to an end. But in true Michelle Valentine fashion, she gave us a story that both warmed my heart and made me smile.

This is Tyke's story, sexy bassist for Black Falcon and twin brother to Trip. He has been spiraling out of control for almost a year and finally Noel, Riff and Trip decide he needs help to finally face his demons and get off the drugs and alcohol. He is sent to a rehab facility and within minutes of his arrival, he meets the woman who will both help him get clean and win his heart. Frannie Mead has seen her own world of heartache but since turning her life around, she is now a successful addiction counselor and her first patient at her new job is none other than Tyke Douglas. Although her attraction to him is immediate, she knows the rules and the boundaries she has set for herself and they can never be. But when emotions and simply lust start to get the better of them, can Tyke and Frannie really stay apart?

Wow. The author really turned up the heat with this book. The chemistry between Tyke and Frannie lept off the pages of my Kindle. You just knew they had to be together. I enjoyed their deep conversations, his professional sessions with her were hard but he managed to pull through.

There were secondary characters that added some great moments but I felt as if I could have gotten just a bit more. I would have wanted to experience Tyke's withdrawal firsthand and to get inside his head a bit more. The connection between Tyke and Frannie was spot on but at times it felt a bit rushed. The subplot of blackmail was a great addition but again I feel that could've been played up just a bit.

Overall I have truly enjoyed this series and highly recommend you start at the beginning. It is well written and I feel now that it is over, that I will miss this crew. I have throughly enjoyed getting to know each and everyone of Black Falcon and the women that tamed them.

A solid 4 stars!

~~ 5 Wonderful Series Stars ~~
By Jennifer H.
The last book in a series is always bittersweet for me. I am excited to read the book to share in those characters story, but I am also sad because it is the last book for all of these characters. You get so attached to these characters when their stories expand over 4 or more books. Rock My Body is no different. I loved all the characters we met along the way. The members of Black Falcon are amazing and I will miss each and every one of them.

Michelle Valentine has an amazing ability to create characters and story lines that just sink into your soul and stick with you. Her stories are full of love, sex, humor, anger, and even some tears. Rock My Body was the perfect ending to this series. It was a fairly quick read but nothing felt rushed and I wasn't left at the end feeling unsatisfied. I thought use did a great job with Tyke and Frannie's story but also wrapping up all the other stories as well. She even added a hint of suspense to this story. I am proud to say that I guessed the little twist in the story before it was revealed….I am always excited when I can get it right :)

Rock My Body is the story of Tyke and Frannie. This story took me by surprise because I didn't see Tyke's character going in this direction, but it totally worked. Both Tyke and Frannie are tortured souls who have severe addiction issues. After both of them hit rock bottom they decide to change their lives. Frannie decides she wants to helps others that are like she used to be. She becomes and addiction counselor. This is how she meets Tyke. After a serious accident Tyke decides to listen to his brother Trip and fellow band mates and go into rehab. Once these two characters meet they go on a journey to helping each other. What I loved the most about this story is that it was a forbidden love story. Those are my favorite for some reason. I thought Tyke and Frannie were a perfect match for each other. I also loved that Tyke wasn't willing to give up on her even though Frannie did everything she could think of to push him away.

My absolute favorite part of this book was the epilogue. I loved that we got to catch up with all of the band members and the ladies who tamed them. I thought it was the prefect ending to this already great series!!!

This entire series is Book B!tch Approved!!!!!
